  1. These are wonderful pictures of our Catholic tradition! Before I learned that we had a traditional Latin Mass here, I would even wear a mantilla to the new mass! Hurrah for all the women and young ladies out there who realize the beauty and meaning of covering the head in the house of God. Hopefully, we will soon see more videos come out on this very important subject. Thank you for this beautiful site! It's my first time here and I love it!

  2. Thanks for the inspirational pictures! I've just started veiling, I'm 35, and I look forward to always wearing one to Mass, as now my 9 year old daughter also does. I feel incomplete without it. It is my newest spiritual movement in my religious journey. I wear it for so many reasons - one is because I'd like to honor my mother and grandmother's traditions of veiling. When my mother came to the U.S., she left all her mantillas in her hometown, and I was saddened to hear it, so I'm wearing it to honor her Spanish tradition, pass it to my daughter, and she will pass it on, hopefully, as well. I feel so focused in Mass on God and humbled in His house when I wear it, and plus, of course, they are just plain beautiful! I also wore a black mantilla recently to pay respect for my recent dear mother-in-law's passing and her Spanish traditions, as well. I also admire how Jackie Kennedy wore hers - so graceful, yet mysterious, and definitely a fashion statement just looking at it! After Mass, I often find older women will approach me with a great smile and compliment me, and ask me where I am from. They respect it, and tell me how good it is to see a younger person wear it. I look forward to building my collection, now that I've started off with a few black ones as a happily married woman, and maybe I'll experiment a little with color - pastels for Easter, etc. God Bless you all on your spiritual paths! :)
